Please, introduce yourself, tell our readers your story in the iGaming business and enlighten us about your role at the company.
Thank you for having me! I initially joined Wazdan eight years ago, starting off as an Account Manager and progressing my way through the position of Senior Account Manager. I have recently been promoted to my current position – Head of Account Management for North America and Latin America.
I love every aspect of this role and it brings me great satisfaction, providing consistent opportunities to develop and grow in a dynamic environment that generates some of the best games on the market.
Give our readers some light background on Wazdan.
As a globally recognised slot supplier that blends cutting-edge technology with immersive experiences, Wazdan is able to develop futuristic products that facilitate modern player preferences. The company was established in 2010 by a group of gaming enthusiasts with a shared passion for innovation, and we are committed to delivering content that stands out from the crowd.
Nowadays, we offer a varied portfolio consisting of over 150 HTML5 games, with innovative customisable features like adjustable Volatility Levels™, allowing players to take additional control over their experience and adjust the game to suit their individual requirements.
The past few months alone have seen us presented with a number of awards, including an award for Best Online Casino Provider at the CEEG Awards, a silver award at the SBC North America in the category of Rising Star in Casino, two awards at the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards in the categories of Best Slots Provider in the Baltics and Rising Star in Nordic Online Casino Technology. We have also been shortlisted for many more.
What is the Wazdan vision and what it is like working there?
As I said earlier, the company was established over a decade ago by a group of slot enthusiasts and we are committed to a vision of advancing the iGaming landscape. Every day working here is a new adventure, and I can’t think of anything that I would change.
We place the player at the heart of everything we do, and this allows us to stay ahead of the innovation curve by consistently producing games with new features, exceptional visuals, and imaginative storylines.
Could you tell us how the company adapted to the new trends and changes in the gaming industry over the previous few years?
We truly see ourselves as trendsetters in the iGaming space, keeping up to date with emerging trends and technologies in order to predict what the next battleground will be for leading providers.
Of course, it’s never easy to predict how a new product or feature will be received by the masses, but by delivering a sense of control over the experiences to players and operators with our Freedom of Choice™ suite – including mechanics and tools like Buy Feature, Cash Drop, and Volatility Levels™ – there is less opportunity for failure.
Tell us about one of your latest releases – Sizzling Kingdom™: Bison. How does the Collect to Infinity™ feature change the gaming experience for the players?
Sizzling Kingdom™: Bison is a shining example of how a game can increase player engagement and deliver an immersive gaming experience by investing in innovative features.
Thanks to the inclusion of the all-time player-favourite Hold the Jackpot and Free Spins features, players are subjected to thunderous winning action, especially with the recently invented engagement-boosting feature, Collect to Infinity™.
Are there any other new game features that we should know about?
Returning to our popular Hot Slot™ series with an exciting new entry, Hot Slot™: Magic Bombs has charmed players since its launch with its lively, action-packed gameplay, including two innovative features – Collect to Infinity™ and the brand-new Sticky to Infinity™ – which immerse them deeply in the game’s explosive action.
This was our first release to feature the innovative Sticky to Infinity™ machanic, which allows players to stick Jackpot Mystery symbols to the reels until the end of the Free Spins bonus round, awarding Jackpots and some incredible wins. It is another engagement-boosting feature developed to maximise our partners’ revenue.
The release marked the second slot to feature in the Hot Slot™ series after the global launch of Hot Slot™: 777 Crown. The collection will soon be extended with the addition of Hot Slot™: Mystery Jackpot Joker in December.
To your mind, what is the most successful release so far, and why?
The original 9 Coins™ slot, which has since become a series, quickly established itself as one of the most popular games in our collection thanks to the innovative Cash Infinity™ mechanic, which is also proven to improve engagement and the player experience, while amplifying retention rates.
Building off the popularity of the original, 9 Coins™: 1000 Edition and 9 Coins™: Grand Gold Edition slots offer an enhanced Grand Jackpot available in the Hold the Jackpot bonus round. Both games benefit from the presence of the Cash Infinity™ feature, allowing our partners to maximise their results.
What is your personal favourite title?
My all-time favourite Wazdan slot title is 9 Lions, with its oriental theme and thrilling bonus rounds really ticking all the boxes in terms of what I look for in a slot product. That said, Sizzling Kingdom™: Bison has become my favourite slot as of late, offering everything Wazdan slots are known for: stunning graphics, unique animations, as well as numerous bonus features that add an element of uncertainty and excitement to the experiences.
Do you see the iGaming business experiencing any important changes in the future? Can those changes influence the course of Wazdan’s development?
As a well-respected game provider, we perceive innovation as responding to players’ quickly evolving needs for customisable gaming experiences with new, exciting ways to win, and diversification. Wazdan has been consistently implementing this approach since its inception, with Freedom of Choice™ being one of our core values.
The customisable features that we develop facilitate the creation of flexible experiences for players and provide suppliers with an opportunity to differentiate themselves from competitors. We’ve seen businesses start to utilise AI-led technology, VR, and blockchain in order to help them to stand out from competitors, but with some of these technologies still in their infancy, it remains to be seen if they can be used to tap into broader audiences around the world.
That said, our focus is on implementing and upgrading the technologies available to us that have proven to be most successful with both our players and operator partners.
